5 Life Hacks To Make Your Summer Better
Brief: This post is a break from the serious, life changing posts in an attempt to make your day at the beach a little bit better this summer!
Salt in the (Homemade) ice
This summer when you’re heading to the beach with a cooler full of your favourite cold beverages make sure that you put salt in the ice! The salt will ensure that your ice lasts longer and your drinks are icy cold all day long. Also stop wasting your money on gas station bags of ice. Fill a few sandwich bags with water and put them in the freezer. Paying for ice has to be one of the biggest money wasters that I want you to avoid this summer.
Old Sun Lotion Bottle For Your Valuables
I bet you have never been too worried about someone stealing your SPF 30 at the beach or pool right? Who steals sunscreen? Find an old sunscreen bottle and cut it on the lid line (where the lid meets the bottle). Clean it out and put all your electronics, keys and money in it for safekeeping when you’re away from your belongings enjoying the summer.
Frozen Water Bottle
We all love hanging out in the sunshine but when it’s time to cool off the water in your bottle might be warmer than you are. To help combat this problem fill your water bottle halfway and lay it on its side in the freezer. That way when it freezes you can still fill it with water and have a icey refreshing drink to cool you off anytime during the day.
Grapes > Ice cubes
Another great way to keep your summery drinks cool is to freeze grapes and use them as ice cubes. They will make your drink look cool and they won’t water it down while they thaw. They also provide a cool little snack.
Muffin Sauce Pan
When you’re done at the beach and decide it’s time for a burger BBQ back at your place. Use a muffin tin to lay out your condiments so they stay in once place and you don’t have to use up all your bowls. Your guests will commend you on your outside of the box thinking.
