Timetree App Review

 In Create Time, Misc

Brief: This post is a brief review of a calendar app I recently downloaded called Timetree.

I don’t know about you but I can be very forgetful. It seems like we are all so busy and have multiple things on the go at any given time. Forgetting a dinner with your friend, a meeting with a co-worker or a doctors appointment is bound to happen eventually but I think I’ve found a pretty solid solution. It’s a free calendar app called TimeTree. I was a little sceptical because I already have apps for reminders, notes and a calendar but TimeTree is different. It combines all of those apps into one and allows you to share your schedule or individual events with whomever you want. Also you can have multiple calendars on the go at one time.

Say you’re a parent in a family of 4 and you’re having a hard time organizing who is picking up the kids or what after school activity is happening on any given day. TimeTree lets you create a calendar for your family that anyone who is a member can update. It can send you reminders and you can easily view updates made within the calendar in the “feed” section so you stay on top of everyone’s changing schedules. You can also create a calendar just for you and your partner to co-ordinate date nights and other more personal things you would prefer to only share with each other.

Another example of a great use of TimeTree would be a sports team. The coach’s can list all of the games and practices for the month into the calendar so kids, parents or team members can plan accordingly. Also by clicking the “advanced” button when creating an event you can add an event location, URL, and notes. It offers everything you need to know about an event all in 1. Members can also leave comments on an event. In this example that would be a great place to let the team and coaches know whether or not you will be attending the practice or game. Also it would work well for organizing rides and carpooling.

This app makes organizing your life that much easier and these are just a couple examples of how it can help you. I use this app for work and personal life. I’ve found it most effective to fully set up my events with locations, anything noteworthy and with 1-2 reminders in the days leading up to the event. Like I said in the beginning, I can be forgetful and TimeTree helps me stay on top of things and organized.
